On se souvient de la belle adaptation dessin\u00e9e par Ga\u00e9tan Nocq du roman de Claudie Hunzinger Les Grands Cerfs<\/em>, paru en 2019. En 2021, dans une interview \u00e0 T\u00e9l\u00e9rama<\/em>, Nocq laissait entendre qu\u2019il avait approch\u00e9 la romanci\u00e8re avec l\u2019intention de lui proposer ce projet, et m\u00eame en ayant d\u00e9j\u00e0 quelques planches \u00e0 lui pr\u00e9senter (https:\/\/www.telerama.fr\/livre\/l-auteur-de-bd-gaetan-nocq-j-ai-toujours-prefere-les-histoires-qui-laissent-un-gout-amer-7007589.php<\/a>). Cependant, le roman suivant de Mme Hunzinger, intitul\u00e9 Un chien \u00e0 ma table<\/em>, donne une autre version de leur rencontre. Voici comment elle la relate (il faut avoir \u00e0 l\u2019esprit qu\u2019elle habite une maison compl\u00e8tement isol\u00e9e dans les montagnes vosgiennes).<\/p>\n

\u00ab Puis, un soir de neige, de cette incroyable neige de mars, quelqu\u2019un a frapp\u00e9 \u00e0 la porte (\u2026). Un jeune type. (\u2026) Il avait quelque chose de candide qui faisait honte \u00e0 notre affolement. Sa soudaine apparition de jeune homme mince. Sa petite barbe bien taill\u00e9e, sa moustache, quelque chose d\u2019un fr\u00eale Errol Flynn. Je l\u2019ai invit\u00e9 \u00e0 entrer. Il \u00e9tait tremp\u00e9 et tenait une carte IGN tremp\u00e9e. (\u2026) Le jeune type s\u2019appelait Ga\u00e9tan. Il dessinait des BD. Il \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 sur le seuil, quand il nous a dit que dessiner \u00e9tait son travail. (\u2026)\u00a0 Tout frigorifi\u00e9 qu\u2019il \u00e9tait, ce gar\u00e7on n\u2019a pas voulu rester pour la nuit. Non, je vous remercie. J\u2019aime mieux camper. Il lui fallait la neige fondue. Le flottement des choses. Oui, j\u2019aime camper, c\u2019est un truc initiatique. \u00bb<\/p>\n

On ne saurait reprocher \u00e0 une romanci\u00e8re de romancer quelque peu les circonstances de cette premi\u00e8re prise de contact. \u00c0 moins que\u00a0? En tout cas, une s\u00e9quence du beau film documentaire de Vincent Marie La Disparition des lucioles <\/em>(2024) montre la belle complicit\u00e9 qui s\u2019est nou\u00e9e ensuite entre Ga\u00e9tan et Claudie.<\/p>\n

Un autre montagnard qui vit quasiment en ermite est Jean-Marc Rochette, install\u00e9 dans la vall\u00e9e du V\u00e9n\u00e9on, au c\u0153ur du massif des \u00c9crins. Dans La Chair du monde<\/em>, livre d\u2019entretiens avec Adrien Rivierre paru cette ann\u00e9e chez Allary \u00e9ditions, il exprime une opinion plus que r\u00e9serv\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019endroit de la bande dessin\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

\u00ab \u2026 je sais que [mes livres] appartiennent \u00e0 de la sous-litt\u00e9rature. Soyons lucides, dans la BD nous sommes tr\u00e8s loin de Kafka\u00a0! Je m\u2019excuse mais entre la meilleure planche de BD et une sculpture de Picasso ou un roman de Tolsto\u00ef, il n\u2019y a pas de discussion possible. Devant une planche d\u2019Uderzo, je reconnais le g\u00e9nie du trait et je suis fascin\u00e9 par sa dext\u00e9rit\u00e9, mais si je la mets \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 des M\u00e9nines de V\u00e9lasquez, pas besoin d\u2019engager le d\u00e9bat\u2026 De la m\u00eame fa\u00e7on, j\u2019admire Crumb mais ce n\u2019est pas Otto Dix ou Kokoschka. J\u2019ai toujours eu conscience des limites de ce m\u00e9dium et, \u00e0 titre personnel, je ne ressens aucune frustration car je ne cherche pas \u00e0 hisser la BD \u00e0 un niveau litt\u00e9raire qu\u2019elle n\u2019a pas intrins\u00e8quement. \u00bb (p. 170)<\/p>\n

Et encore\u00a0: \u00ab \u2026 la peinture ou la litt\u00e9rature se distinguent par leurs capacit\u00e9s \u00e0 toucher l\u2019essence des choses. (\u2026) Au contraire, la BD repose enti\u00e8rement sur la narration, mais une narration qui \u00e9vite les profondeurs de la psych\u00e9 humaine. \u00bb (p. 171)<\/p>\n

On pourrait sans doute essayer de lui objecter les \u0153uvres de tel ou tel cr\u00e9ateur (Mun\u00f5z et Sampayo\u00a0? Chris Ware\u00a0?).
