Le plus \u00e9minent des herg\u00e9ologues nous a quitt\u00e9s. La plan\u00e8te Tintin est orpheline. Sa force de travail, son opini\u00e2tret\u00e9, son d\u00e9vouement \u00e0 Herg\u00e9 et son \u0153uvre n\u2019avaient d\u2019\u00e9gal que sa modestie. Il laisse une bibliographie consid\u00e9rable, qui m\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 de la plus grande utilit\u00e9 ces derniers mois, alors que je travaillais \u00e0 mon \u00ab\u00a0Que Sais-Je\u00a0?\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Nous nous faisions signe de loin en loin. Nos derniers \u00e9changes ont eu lieu au d\u00e9but de cette ann\u00e9e, quand, tr\u00e8s diminu\u00e9 (il m\u2019appelait depuis une chambre d\u2019h\u00f4pital o\u00f9 on le soignait apr\u00e8s qu\u2019il e\u00fbt \u00e9t\u00e9 op\u00e9r\u00e9 d\u2019une double tumeur au cerveau), il s\u2019interrogeait sur le devenir de ses archives. La seule occasion que nous avions eue de travailler ensemble remonte \u00e0 2002, quand Nick et Fanny Rodwell avaient constitu\u00e9 une petite \u00e9quipe compos\u00e9e de Joost Swarte, Philippe et moi-m\u00eame, pour travailler \u00e0 la conception du futur Mus\u00e9e Herg\u00e9 qui devait \u00eatre \u00e9rig\u00e9 \u00e0 Louvain-la-Neuve par Christian de Porzamparc. Nous avions remis, \u00e0 la fin de cette ann\u00e9e, le synopsis de l\u2019exposition permanente et \u00e0 un cahier des charges \u00e0 partir duquel le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre architecte se faisait fort d\u2019emballer l\u2019affaire en trois ans. Il ne livra finalement le b\u00e2timent qu\u2019en 2008, pour une inauguration l\u2019ann\u00e9e suivante. Philippe regrettait beaucoup le fait que nos commanditaires ne nous aient pas permis de le rencontrer\u00a0: nous aurions aim\u00e9 \u00e9changer directement avec lui au sujet de nos pr\u00e9conisations.<\/p>\n

Le mus\u00e9e Herg\u00e9 – \u00a9 Tintinimaginatio<\/p><\/div>\n

Celles-ci ne furent pas toujours suivies et je viens de retrouver une lettre que Philippe m\u2019avait envoy\u00e9e le 11 juin 2009, dans laquelle il exprimait sa relative d\u00e9ception : \u00ab B\u00e2timent admirable, tenant assez bien compte du sc\u00e9nario. Oubli d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9 (Nick et Fanny) des enfants dans le circuit. Parcours trop uniforme (p\u00e9nombre partout, pas d\u2019effets de surprise, pas de ruptures affirm\u00e9es\u2026). Pas de reconstitutions, peu de cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9\u2026 \u00bb \u00a0Des r\u00e9flexions frapp\u00e9es au coin du bon sens.<\/p>\n

Nos s\u00e9ances de travail s\u2019\u00e9taient d\u00e9roul\u00e9es dans un excellent climat. Je me souviens de Philippe comme d\u2019un homme courtois, r\u00e9serv\u00e9, \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9coute, d\u2019une grande int\u00e9grit\u00e9\u00a0: un mod\u00e8le de chercheur et un vrai gentleman<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
